Joint & Movement
Select the joint and movement direction you want to assess. Each joint has specific movements with established clinical norms.
Your Measurement
Enter the angle you measured and your demographic information so we can compare against the right population norms.
Use a goniometer, inclinometer, or a phone app (e.g., the built-in Measure app on iOS, or "Goniometer Pro").
Positioning: Place the fulcrum (pivot point) at the joint center. Align the stationary arm along the fixed bone segment and the moving arm along the segment that moves.
Example (Shoulder Flexion): Stand with your arm at your side. Place the goniometer at the side of your shoulder joint. Keep the stationary arm pointing down along your torso. Raise your arm forward and up as far as possible. Read the angle where the moving arm aligns with your upper arm.
Tips: Measure both sides for comparison. Take 2-3 readings and use the best attempt. Warm up lightly before measuring for a more accurate reading.

What This Means
Want a deeper analysis?
A single ROM reading tells part of the story. A full biomechanical assessment maps your entire kinetic chain, identifies compensations, and builds a corrective strategy.
